1. Did you ever think you'd be agreeing
with Newt Gingrich on anything?
2. The possibility of a draft keeps
popping up
3. They put their foot in it yet
again...
4. Stan Goff on Homeland Security
5. A first person account of the FTAA
protests in Miami.
6. Could the US pick a more tainted
piece of real estate for its embassy in Iraq?
*************
2. Another article about the
possibility of a draft around the corner esp if Bush is re-elected.
3. Does the right hand know what the
left hand is doing? More evidence to suggest that they can't even
communicate among themselves, never mind with the rest of the world.
When do you think they'll figure out that making other countries
angry isn't a good way to get them to participate?
4. Stan Goff has written a great
article on how the Bush Administration and the NRC have acted to
INCREASE our vulnerability in the case of terrorist attacks on
nuclear facilities. Something to share with folks who think Bush is
doing a great job protecting us homeland folks.
5. This is truly chilling. We hear that
the Democratic National Party has tapped the Miami police chief to
head security at the convention in 2004. If that is true, we can
expect a police state in Boston. The only good news I can find in
this scenario is that the empire usually gets rougher in proportion
to the level of threat it perceives. Thus, the various protest
movements must be having an impact.
6. The US is considering Saddam
Hussein's palace for the new US embassy in Iraq - are they totally
unaware of the symbolism of such a choice?
