1.  Are the "liberals" finding their voices?

2.  Why our letters to the editor are so important
3.  How to end terrorism

5.  Latest US tactic to control people in villages has some pretty ugly historical and contemporary associations.

1.  Interesting perspective on the state of the "liberal" voice in the US - the question is, are there enough of us?

2.  Clearly the media is biased and as a result the people are ignorant. Our factual letters to the editor become even more important as a result, as another strategy for counteracting the constant spin in the mainstream press. People really do read the letters - I had two women at Laconia Savings Bank come up to me and thank me for my recent letter about Bush's "accomplishments."

3.  Here's a good list to review in case you need to be able to respond to someone who thinks the war in Iraq is a great strategy in the so-called war on terrorism.

4.  Ellen Mariani refuses to be bought off by the victims' compensation funds, and has filed a suit in Federal Court.  Copy of complaint, her open letter to GWB, and the only press release that made it into the media (out of 3000 sent) can be found at this site.

5.  US Forces are wrapping entire villages in barbed wire, similar to the Israeli treatment of Palestinians.  I have read articles about the racist aspects of this war - see the quote at the end of the article for an example. Check this one out soon, as the NY Times starts charging for articles pretty soon after they are posted.
