1.  Join the NRA blacklist!
2.  Some think the draft may be brought back, esp if the long hard slog prediction is accurate
3.  See which Senators voted for the $87 billion reconstruction bill - and who never showed up for the vote.
4.  Some info about Howard Dean
5.  Voter Guide on Foreign Policy issues from Peace Action

1.  You will be in stellar company if you put yourself on the NRA blacklist.  Doing so means you want the ban on assault weapons to continue, and you don't want to absolve gun manufacturers from responsibility in civil suits.

2.  The government is quietly recruiting people to join local draft boards, which some observers believe may be an indicator that a draft could be resumed.  Probably not before the election, but if GW is re-elected, who knows?  Maybe we should all be applying - could clog up the system with our apps, and maybe a few of us would actually get on a draft board, in which case we could exempt away!

3.  Unbelievably, the reconstruction bill passed 5-1.  Yes, out of 100 senators only 6 showed up to go on record.

4.  I don't normally include this sort of thing here, but since Dean is seen as a progressive peace candidate by many in the peace movement, I think it behooves all of us to see what the record says about him.  Make your own judgements.

5.  Peace Action has put together a voter guide on where candidates stand on foreign policy issues.  No major surprises, but helpful to see their positions laid out in the table for easy comparison.
