1. This article gives a few examples
from history regarding the use of the military to protect corporate
interests. It quotes Marine General Smedley Butler, who says most
of his 33 years in the Marines was as a muscle man for the wealthy
and corporations. Puts current events into a larger context.
2. As you might have expected, things
aren't going so well in terms of getting other countries to send
their people to Iraq.
3. The White House now says the nasty
liberal media (the same ones who were waving the flag wide and high
just 6 months ago) are not telling the whole story about how great
things are going in Iraq.
4. This soldier is pretty candid in
this letter that was published in his local newspaper.
