1.  This analyst believes there is an emerging Democratic majority, and thinks there are some major weaknesses that can be exploited if the Democrats get their act together. Interesting to consider...

2.  Check out Project Vote Smart - great resource about political candidates at the state level and higher - the link below is for the presidential candidates. Incredible work these folks do, getting together massive amounts of info so voters can be more informed. They do their work at a beautiful ranch in Montana, and they accept volunteers so if you're looking for something worthwhile to do in a gorgeous outdoor setting.......

They also provide free materials and services to libraries - consider passing the info along to your local library -

3.  For those of you who are considering either Dean or Kucinich as the "peace" candidates (they were the top two vote getters in the MoveOn primary) check this link out for a nice little comparison of the two on various issues. As always, doing your own further research is encouraged!

4.  Check out our 'pink slip' action:
With the help of the brilliant talent at the Ruckus Society, CODEPINK was able to deliver a giant satin 'pink slip' to Bush on his fundraising trip to Los Angeles. It read, "Bush: You Lied, You're Fired!"  This link will take you to our home page where you can view the unfurling of the 'pink slip' (Quicktime), link to 'pink slip' articles and see the Robbie Conal poster, great images to pass on. (links to indymedia articles about the protesters)

U.S. Bans Military Aid to Almost 50 Countries
http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/international/news-crime-usa-aid.html

They claim it is to protect our troops but I think it is to protect our leaders. The good news is that Columbia is one of the 50 countries, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out....
